SCHMELZMETALL AG was founded in 1959 and is the parent company of SCHMELZMETALL group. The head office is located in Gurtnellen in the idyllic Swiss canton Uri.

Fields of activity

SCHMELZMETALL AG is the main production site for our alloys HOVADUR® and HOVADUR® K. In Gurtnellen, our experts also deal with the metallurgy of our alloys. The correct composition of the different elements of the alloy is constantly developed and controlled in order to produce the optimal alloy for our customers.
