HOVADUR® K350

Description of material HOVADUR® K350:

HOVADUR® K350 is a thermally precipitation hardenable copper alloy. In heat treated condition, the alloy shows extraordinarily great hardness and strength combined with good electrical and thermal conductivity. Good resistance to corrosion (even excellent to sea water), high wear resistance (with great resistance to fretting), good polishing properties and absence of sparking complete the excellent range of properties of this alloy.

Application examples HOVADUR® K350:

  • Mechanically highly strained mould parts in mould construction for plastic injection
  • Nozzles and hot channel systems in injection moulds
  • Parts for tempering systems in moulds for plastic injection and die casting
  • Thermally highly strained parts which are susceptible to fire cracks
  • Inserts in steel moulds in areas requiring a faster cooling rate
