Die casting is a casting procedure whereby the melt is poured or pressed into a permanent die via a sprue placed at the bottom of the die. Our HOVADUR® special alloys are essential for these dies and provide significant advantages:

Our HOVADUR® alloys are used for the following casting procedures:

  • Gravity die casting: At gravity die casting the liquid metal is poured into permanent dies made of metal using the effect of gravity.
  • Low-pressure die casting: At low-pressure die casting the liquid metal is poured under pressure into permanent dies made of metal.
